The Loan Company Team


The Loan Company team includes the original investors as well as seasoned real estate finance professionals. Uniquely, all the principals are investors themselves, and so have a strong interest in the performance and integrity of the Partnership.

bullet Leadership

The Loan Company Partnership is led by General Partner, Steve Dillaway, who continues to serve in an active role guiding the company as he has since its inception in 1974.  As the largest single investor in the partnership, Steve Dillaway and his family have a vested interest in making The Loan Company a success.  He is joined by fellow limited partner and president, John Lloyd, who brings 20+ years of experience in commercial real estate financing and lending.

The team meets with a committee of limited partners on a quarterly basis in an advisory capacity showing accountability with the goal of maintaining the highest degree of integrity and eficacy possible.

The management team has the experience and expertise to recognize and assess value, creatively structure and close loans, and provide ongoing quality customer service.  Our mission at The Loan Company is to underwrite, fund, and service a portfolio of real estate secured loans suitable for investors who are seeking a reasonable return with moderate risk and acceptable liquidity.

 

Steve Steve Dillaway is an attorney (USD Law School, 1971, Cum Laude), real estate broker, and inactive CPA who has lived in San Diego since 1969. His involvement and enthusiasm for the Partnership is demonstrated by his personal liability for the Partnership's line of credit and the fact that he is the largest single investor in the Partnership.
   
John
John Lloyd is President of the Partnership. John received a BS in accounting from the University of Montana, an MBA in finance, and graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. John spent over 12 years in commercial real estate lending at two regional banks, has served as CFO for a real estate developer as well as CEO of a private money lender, and owns/manages a commercial real estate mortgage company.
   
Laurie Laurie Dunlop is a Certified Public Accountant and our Chief Financial Officer. She has been doing the Partnership's accounting since 2000, has a broker's license, is a Notary Public, and has a broad managerial role in The Loan Company.
   
Elizabeth Elizabeth Mark - Assistant to the CFO. Elizebeth is a CPA and has an MBA and is also a Notary Public. Elizebeth is responsible for assisting the CFO in loan servicing and investor relations.
   
Darcy Darcy Peters - Loan Processor and assistant to the President and a Notary Public- Darcy is a graduate of San Diego State University and is responsible for all loan processing and also assisting in other loan servicing functions.
   
Geno Geno Altiery - Loan Servicing. Geno has over 20 years experience in loan servicing and quality control and is responsible for documenting all loans and assisting in other loan servicing functions.
